Dallas weekend!

This past weekend was something my mom has waiting to do for a really long time! The girls night to Dallas!! It started with us checking in to the Marriott, getting a little freshened up, having a toast then off to Trulucks! Of course mom was trying to figure out how we could get there but not drive! Lucky for us the hotel offers a shuttle at no cost!! Now I am not a seafood person really but was willing to try something new for the occasion. First they give us this Delicious bread for starters! Then we received an awesome appetizer courtesy of the Marriott! We felt very special at that point! Then it was time to order.....dun dun dun... I order the South Georgia Island Sea Bass with the Sonoma salad.. Let me just add that the salad was the bomb! Best salad of my life! Then came the entree! Sea Bass with asparagus and it was delicious!!! Thanks mom to an awesome dinner!

Well back to the Hotel we go... for a very exciting night of matching pj's and Gin Rummy! (pictures to come) It was great fun!
Now up the next morning and time to shop! Bridal Couture here comes the bride that can't make up her mind!!! Only 2 1/2 hours later and 15 dresses later Megan finally made up her mind! Of course I would love to show you the dress but no can do!! It was a fun day of "Say Yes to the Dress".... It is the most beautiful dress and can't wait for everyone to see her in it!
Can't wait for another night out!

"Doing Good"

I totally envy those who have time to blog on a regular basis! This year I'm really going to try and be one of those!

Anyhow! I had a thought come in to my mind yesterday as my mom and I drove past 24hr fitness! The parking lot was packed! Why? Because everyone wants to get fit and made their New Years Resolutions to do so! I'm thinking probably 1 out of 5 people actually keep it up the entire year.. I was once one of them! What is a Resolution anyway... a goal for most of us to set for only a couple of months to go by and we forget about it... a goal to make us feel better about ourselves?? Why don't we all set a goal to make other people feel better rather than ourselves?

2010 was a rough year all around.. and for most people! We struggled financially with Ronnie still being out of work for half of the year. The company I work for struggled financially and had to make sacrifices. I had several ups and down with friends and watched friends go through many struggles with in their own families.

So with this said my New Years Resolution is not to do good for myself but to do good for others! Make sense?? :) I have always been the motivator/counselor with in my group of friends and my family. Maybe I have a gift of listening and always trying to see the better in people. Sometimes I give people the benefit of the doubt one too many times.. This year has tons of exciting events coming up! I have three great friends that are having babies and my baby sister is getting Married!! This year I am devoting my time into making these moments very special for them! I hope that God also throws in my path someone else that I can make an impact on! At the end of the day can you ask yourself what good you did that day for someone else and actually be able to answer it? I plan on doing so and blogging about it will hold me accountable!

tubes for Jordan!

Well we revisit Dr Loudermilk once again! This time its Jordan.. Poor thing just can't get over these ear infections. At least I have been through this once before with Haley. I really liked this Dr and his office. The staff is great and Haley's procedure went better than expected. Jordan's appt is scheduled for April 20th! What else is that day...Ronnie's test with the Waxahachie Fire Department.. So this mamma is going solo.. Being that Haley and Jordan are different in almost every aspect I expect something to go differently that morning. Jordan is very strong willed and very independent..She'll probably try to do the procedure herself! haha I will make sure and update you as to how it all goes! Keep the little stinker in your prayers!
